Nice article Ivana! Just wanted to point out a few things, as I've been working on this stuff for some years as you know. First of all, since this is the Mangrove blog, pH8 has adaptive images in both ways: both server-side (using image resizing to any size through the Automatic Image Resizer) and browser side where it uses Foresight. A great example of this is http://www.pvda.nl. I like Foresight better than HiSRC because it is framework independent and generates a fallback for non-js clients. But they basically do the same. The good part is, because it is built into pH8, as a (frontend or backend) dev you don't have to do anything, just upload the images in a high enough resolution and enable Foresight in your sites config. Voila!

But this is of course a temporary solution (like everything in web). Webkit now has the "srcset" and "image-set" attributes. And even better, there is the <picture> element that is gonna make for cleaner markup.

This article sums it up quite nicely: http://mobile.smashingmagaz...

Keep up the good work!

Re: TWWOTW edition 4 | Blog | Mangrove

Great selection of interesting stuff! thanks

Re: The Hack Battle 2013 | Blog | Mangrove

Bit late, but still: congratz guys, you did an amazing job.
